HELLO! I’M JULIA WACHS.

I started quilting in December 2014 after moving to Seattle, WA right after graduating from engineering school. I’ve always been an artistic person, and quilting became my after-work creative outlet. In 2025 I moved to Madrid, Spain with my husband and our two pets (a dog named Andre and a cat named Missy)

After working in the aerospace sector for over 10 years, I now design quilts full time. My designs are modern, colorful, and geometric. I am also building a library of on-demand quilting courses and am available for teaching online (available internationally) or in person (UK and Europe only).

When I’m not quilting, I enjoy traveling, cooking, running, sampling new beer, and watching movies. Oh, and learning Spanish!
